So the family met my boyfriend, and they love him, which is definitely a first in a long time. He's coming back up tonight or tomorrow morning for zombie jesus weekend.
Aaaaaand, surprise surprise, dad's started drinking again. Yay for alcoholism. He doesn't just drink beer every night or drink everyday, he's worse (in my opinion). He's totally fine one day, then randomly goes on binges where he just drinks vodka constantly for a few days or a week at a time, laying in bed, missing work, etc. He has an extra day off, so he goes and stocks up on his good ol' favorite shit.
The first 24 hours home were actually really nice.
Now I remember why I hate coming here so much.
Now I'm on a mission to get a good job in laX, get my own car, and never come back for more than a few hours. Not to mention refuse to come back if dad's on one of his binges. Of course if my sister or brother need to get away I'll totally come up to steal them for a weekend...
