Every day when I get off the bus to go to work, I have to take a well marked pedestrian crosswalk. Most vehicles stop (mostly because the area of the city has a very active beat police patrol) but I've noticed something about the cars that either blow through the intersection, or weave around the cars that have stopped to zoom through- the majority of them have handicapped parking stickers on them. No joke, they have those little blue wheelchair men swinging from their rearview. I don't know if it's just just that being treated with kid gloves by your average chunck of society (come on, who tells off handicapped people, even if they ARE assholes?) or that they just don't care that they might add a random pedestrian to their hobbling, twitching and spasming ranks through their inattentiveness.
