Yes....

Part of it.

The other part of it is that I feel like because of the place where I live and my lack of ability to meet new people or reconnect with the ones I care about makes it feel like I won't that chance to meet someone new or be with someone I might already know who can sweep me off my feet.

i saw you fighting on TV. it was really hot. i told everyone i know you. lol

The Shield owns my ass right now- I'm watching the DVD'd seasons and getting well above my daily allowance of corrupt cops beating on gangbangers.

I fought in Lethbridge on New years eve, it's going to be televised in the upcoming weeks (I'm not sure which wednesday, but it should be sooner rather than later.) I managed a victory via Triangle choke, which brings my...

I didn't know you would be there or I might have made the effort to come, I was actually yo-yoing about going, but I heard rumors it might be a flop and I wasn't feeling incredibly great that night... I will be in the city tomorrow maybe we could meet for coffee or maybe you would meet me at the 'burbs... its been a very long time since I had a dance partner... Hope you are well.

And with the traditional counting down to none, and the calamity and riotous cheer that follows, a new year bursts forth.

The past year has been a little chaotic, and I suppose its with the end of the calendar year rather than the passing of my birthdays that I reflect on how things have gone and how they may or may not go, how I...

I am glad that 2006 is over. Its not a year I want to repeat - depsite the fact that I made it to the Caribbean twice! Too much heartache received and caused. I hope that this next year is absolutly fabulous for you. I hope that you find a job that you love (or can tolerate better than this one) and that you find and induldge that creative spark within... And I sincerely hope that the fighting etc. continues - I know its something you were both passionate about and good at. I hope that it continues to be something positive for you.

All the best.

'Tis been an interesting year, to be sure, and both of us have had our share of ups and downs. I'm hoping that the positives will remain that way - and that the negatives turn into positives as well.

...glad that you liked the card, my friend, and thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated.

Finally got a picture from my first fight way way back in September, put it up on my profile pictures (hopefully this means that the DVD will finally be showing up sometime soon. In related news, I got a few possible fights in the works, New Years eve in Lethbridge, which will be televised on the Score, and will be getting done pay per view...

Dear Apple,
Congratulations for suckering me with magnificent marketing campaign put into the Ipod. I definitely appreciate a good prank out outwitting, and I must concede that you guys got me good. I mean, what else could one call a product that is practically designed to malfunction in a way that makes it unusable within mere months of the warranty expiration? When I spend upwards...

There marketing IS really good. Thanks for the warning though. My sweetie has an iPod but I'll likely buy another brand.

I ended up with a loss, but it was a good fight, and I think if me and the guy fought again right now, it wouldnt be a cut and cry choice on who would win. Just gives me something to motivate me to train my ass a little harder

You've got the best attitude towards your bouts. robot
nuit:
Aww lame.

Jesus, it's never until I take a day off from training to realize just how boring I really am. It's probably for the best, got a chance to rest up some aching muscles, and hopefully I'll be smart enough to call it an early night and catch up on some sleep.

Ended up losing my fight, but it was a good fight and if we...

"Seasons Beatings"? Nice. biggrin

Sorry to hear that you didn't win, but I am confident that you will win your next bout.
calixte:
I would still love to watch you fight. Where will you fight?

Sorry about the loss.

Fight day in three days.
Quite probably the toughest guy I've been paired up against as of yet, but somehow I am the most confident about winning than I have been for any fight. I've been busting my ass to tighten up the little holes in my stand up game, and have found a few little tricks that I have a knack for that seem...

The sky this time of year is rarely absolute, the days are a smoke hued haze, the nights fade out to a supernatural purple or rose tint. The cold finds a way to cut, even when not a soul freezing clime, the air infecting ones skin and lungs with a parasitic rime, the kind that saps the will for anything but survival and heat. Even...

Wow, tell me, did you write that?
radiofrank:
Thanks, MB. That was very kind of you to say.

...however, I don't think that SG is desperate enough to need me as staff. Unless they want me to run a store for them, anyways. I could do that. wink

I wonder what its a sign of when you cant even really find time to download a bunch of songs youve written on a little list of stuff you hear on the radio at work and want to be able to hear at your leisure?

Yeah...what The Prez said. wink

Hope that you're well, MB.

Miss me?

Think you could forgive me?

You were right.

Now you can say "I told you so"...

When one looks at the statistics for global poverty, education levels or any of the other myriad of statistic-ized topics, the frame of billions of people, or millions or hundreds of thousands per day, it is all to easy to lose sight of the scope. These are not numbers that we experience in a day to day context and therefore have little meaning to us....

My nose appears to be quite painful and infected. Really less pleasant than it sounds (how is such things possible?) It's hard to breathe, and I want to just jam a knife up there to make it so the fluids will drain out (I won't because thats neither smart nor sanitary) Off to get some lovely pills for it in the morning though.
radiofrank:
Holy shit!
radiofrank:
Exactly. I certainly wouldn't be able to pull it off, even if I tried.

Right now, I have a knee that just doesn't want to do anyhing without yelling in pain, and a shin that has made itself a secondary career as a braille tutorial, what with the amount of bumps and gross swollen bruises on it. I got these last weekend while I enjoyed (I use that word loosely) North Battleford, Saskatchewan. I was slated for my second...
