Do you ever feel completly helpless when a loved one needs help, but the help they need you just can't give?

My Dad, a guy who has never hurt another human being in his entire life has really found himself in a heap of trouble. He bought his dream house last year, and construction on it is now finished, his move in date is the 26th of this month. He put his current house up for sale the day (last year) he bought the new house. No buyer. He has to be out on the 26th, he signed a contract at the new place which states he has to live there for a minimum of one year, and he can't afford to have 2 houses. Regardless of his finances, he'll have two house payments as of two weeks from now. As an extra kick in the ass, he was fired from his job yesterday. He is a blue collar factory worker whose held the same position at the company for almost thirty years. He'll have unemployment, but we all know thats small potatoes, he has no education and he is 52 years old. I don't know what hes going to do.

I am so scared for him, I don't have any money to give him, and I have no idea how else I can help him. Its just awful.
