So - I seem to have gotten lucky with this piercing.
There is still no swelling and it's not red at all.

Big *smoooooch* to Andy at Ambrotos Tattoo & Piercing!

Let's see....oh yeah. We went to see Constantine last night.
I am so NOT a "Kanunu" Reeves fan - so I was expecting it to suck.
However - I have to grudgingly admit that...

You know, I always think people are changing their profile pics, but I can't be sure because I guess I'm not that observant. I know you changed yours to include the new piercing ... but you changed it more than once before you decided on that shot, didn't you? Either that, or I'm seeing things again. Gotta cut down on that coffee! wink

It looks fabulous, by the way. Maybe I'll get a new tattoo or piercing or something when I go on vacation next month. My piercing guy just got sentenced to 6 years in the state penn, so I would have to find someone new anyway. *sigh*
suzy_kabloozy:
You know, you and I have some strange things in common ... tragic things, actually ... but what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. Well, that's what THEY say, at least. They sure are opinionated, aren't they? smile

*note to self*

Dear Self -

If neccessary, throw body between husband and clerk to prevent husband's future attempts to purchase chocolate covered espresso beans.

We stopped at a Starbucks today while out and about - I got myself a double shot cappucino and a roll. My husband isn't a big coffee drinker - so he decided to buy himself a bag of chocolate covered...

You know I don't think I can answer my own questions. I have been playing in bands since I was 12 years old. I have probably played 10,000 different songs. When I try to pick just a few I just can't do it. I am going to do a lot of research to find the play list for this band. Thanks for your answers. If you ever have songs pop in your head that you love from those eras let me know what they are.

ragefilledmuffin:
Cornholio always makes me laugh. Always, no matter what. And for some reason, one espresso drink doesn't have an effect on my boyfriend; give him a second one and he'll be up all night, writing songs, making tee shirt graphics, eating pizza rolls, running laps around the parking lot, etc. Maybe men can't handle their caffeine tongue

I say go for the monroe--it'd look good on you. If you don't like it, you can always take it out and probably only have a tiny scar that would be coverable with makeup. If you do it, see if your hubby will take pics of you while its being done--nothing like needles sticking out of your face to freak people out later.

So - our realtor says he isn't satisfied with the potential buyers he has thus far. Apparently what he is looking to do is get three or four aspiring suburbanites into some form of a bidding war in order to drive the price up.

Hey - works for me! biggrin biggrin

Anyway - we came back to the house this morning - the realtor hired some cleaning...

Earlier today a good friend of mine and I were talking - and she asked me about something I never gave much consideration.
She knows that I've moved 23 times in my life, and being that I'm moving again soon, she asked me if I don't always feel insecure and "rootless" due to so much relocation.
I couldn't really give her a clear cut answer...

I'm the opposite of you and Charitee...I have moved a few times in my life, but all within the same five county area in Minnesota... I guess I just don't like the thought of moving away from "home". I like knowing where things are, and even if I don't know the area I'm in, I know that a few turns will bring me back to where I am confortable.
I do dig travelling some, for work...and seeing some new things, but I'm a hometown girl and I don't think I'll change much in that respect. smile
suzy_kabloozy:
I realize I have not left a comment the last couple times I dropped by. I think I read your post and start feeling ... insecure! eeek

Or at least I realize how much I hate the feeling of insecurity. It is second only to feeling foolish. But like you, I'm guess I'm not sure I know what exactly makes me feel secure. I would have said a man ... but I haven't had a decent relationship in over 10 years and I haven't felt too insecure ... mostly more when they ARE around on that one.

I would say money ... but I have none of that.

I have lived in the same city all my life, but I did move a lot so I'm not sure there was much security there.

I used to think it was my family, but then my parents both died and I survived that.

It must be me ... the internal workings that just decide whether or not my perceptions are sane or insane, trust or fear based, etc. Man, that is bad news on some days, I'm sure.

So how was the weekend? Did you sell your house yet? smile

Ok you guys -

We're headed off to the hotel again, and we've got a shitload of running around to do over the weekend. So unfortunately I will be deprived of most of my SG time frown

I'm still going to try to sneak in for a little while here and there, of course, to leave/respond to journal comments biggrin

So - if you would be so...

Good luck with the house, and the hotel sex, those desks are so small be careful wink

I'd say hi back to your alter ego, but I'm afraid she'd blow my head off.

I thought about you when I vented in my journal today, I'm such a hypocrite. wink

I hope you get over the asking price for your house smile

Ok - so my entry for today needed to change - too much complaining. blush

So - to state things in a more positive light....

Our house is finally, for real going on the market day after tomorrow. Our realtor says that he's *already* got appointments lined up from 8am to 8pm Fri, Sat, and Sun - and he has politely suggested that we get the...

Hey you! I'm back for a bit!
Good luck with the house...sounds like you'll have it sold in no time!

Lucky kitties--they get a vacation too. Is this normal practice, to basically kick people out of their house when trying to sell it? It seems a little bit overboard. Anyway, good luck with the selling.

Ok - so at least we are now finished with the majority of the serious unpleasantness.
Just paperwork, thank you notes and stuff like that left now.

In radical contrast to yesterday, today is a GORGEOUS day.
Sunny and in the 60's.

I am, however, too friggin exhausted to do much of anything other than sit in front of the computer.

I guess Rob and...

Bleh.

What a dreary day.

It's cold, rainy, and generally crappy.

Your standard east coast February morning, basically.

Well.....it certainly does fit my mood perfectly.

Anyway - I hope you guys are having at least a tolerable Monday smile

The upside to all...

Sadly ... in times like this, I turn up the wise crack mode to lighten the mood.

To be honest ... if I were you having to give the news to your hubby, I woulda said it like this, "Hon ... remember how we fretted over how much it was gonna cost to get granny taken care of in that nursing home? Well ...."

Of course, no ... I wouldn't have said it that way.

But for damn sure that would have come out soon after the crying quit.

I'm such a loser.

I like the hotel action. My last stay in a hotel was very comfortable. Let's just say I wasn't alone ......... biggrin
