Some interesting stuff started happening right after I bleached my hair into a platinum shade of blond.

I mean - I realize I don't exactly blend in with the masses with the haircolor, the piercing, and the fact that I don't generally run around in public in dull clothing. That *is* the idea, after. NOT to blend in.

But apparently the knuckledragging, drooling fools at large misinterpret my appearance to mean "I'm hot to trot so please - at every turn - leer openly, make obscene gestures right in front of my husband (not that it's cool when my hubby ISN'T present), walk up behind me and imitate butt sex, yell out retarded innuendo, and assume that if you approach me you will be guaranteed an instant blow job.

Fucking gorillas. I swear - they just come up and start talking smack with my husband standing right there. I'm like
"What's your next move gonna be, jackass? You gonna barf in your hand and sling it at us?"

It's not like I go out with my tits jacked up under my chin and half exposed and wear super short skirts and blah blah blah. Don't misunderstand me - by no means am I suggesting that women who DO choose to dress in this manner deserve this sort of treatment. They most definately do not. My point is that I make clothing choices that are colorful and show my style - I do NOT make efforts to give off a "come hither" vibe.

It's gotten so out of hand that my husband has very nearly gotten into several brawls because some braindead walking erections can't manage to control themselves.

And it's not just happening *sometimes* - it's quite literally EVERY TIME we leave the house.

So - after carefully considering all possible methods of handling this shit - I came to the conclusion that while it SHOULDN'T happen....and it isn't right.....it DOES happen.

And I doubt it's going to change in the next few months.

I'm too old for this nonsense - I have no interest in constantly fending off dillholes. I'm happilly married and it pisses me off that people refuse to respect that because of a haircolor and a piercing.

This didn't happen anywhere NEAR as often before I put together this look.

Being the obstinant chick that I am, I flatly REFUSE to walk around looking like El Frumpo Dumpo by wearing some mousy haircolor and taking out my piercing.

Soooo - I am now a redhead The shade is called light cherry red - it stands out and could not possibly be natural, and I am very happy with it.

For whatever reasons, this seems to have tranquilized the knuckledraggers.

Yeah - it sucks. I shouldn't have HAD to change a haircolor I loved. But unless I wanted to either me or my husband or BOTH of us to end up in jail - I had to make an adjustment.
