Not much of interest going on today.

Not feeling especially expressive.

Meh.

*** Update - 6:36 PM***

Ummm.....the above is what happens when I try to do a journal update before I've finished my coffee
I'm tellin' ya - my brain just does NOT work without it's required caffeine levels.

ANYway - got some mundane tasks taken care of, and now I'm feeling a bit more coherent.

This afternoon, while we were in the checkout line in the grocery store, I looked up and realized that like 8 people we staring at me - including a jock-ish looking guy - probably in his late teens, and his apparently over-protective Mom.

I'm thinking "The hell are they staring at me fo.......Oh. Right. The hair. And probably the metal on my face." We *are* in suburban Maryland. Duh!!

So said jock-ish young man is leering away in my direction, which his Mom notices, and then she gets all panicked and clutches at his shoulder, feigning a need to immediately discuss the ingredients listed on the bag of frozen broccoli florets she held.

I of course read this as "No no no, baby. Don't leer at that bad, bad lady!!"

I suppose Moms has a point - her baby happens to be well over 6 feet tall and very cute

I know, I know. I'm rotten

Point is - I'm endlessly fascinated with observing people and how they act in public. Anytime I'm out pretty much anywhere, I get distracted constantly with watching other people - how they interact with the people they are with, how they speak to clerks, gas station attendants.....servers....

I usually find myself wondering about their histories, their interests, their psychology....

Maybe it's the writer in me?
Who knows.

So - do any of you guys find people as interesting to watch and wonder about as I do?
