Sometimes, it's like you're running from something - something.....or maybe someone.
Move quickly, do it efficiently, don't waste time; jump the fence, pick up the pace, get in gear, haul your ass...
...or it's going to
catch up with me
Other times, it's like you're running towards something....or someone...
Gotta go, gotta move - hurry hurry hurry, you can almost see it...almost smell it...almost there...
Gotta get there first
Gotta get there NOW
Or it will be
not there anymore
having moved along...and left you behind
Then there are the times when it's like a fight -
quiet anticipation and excellent intentions get their toes stepped on and then give way to a little aggravation.
Determination pushes back aggravation in order to say the course. Take a deep breath and put that smile back on.
Determination gives way to fear or hurt at injustices real or imagined and anger arrives on the scene. Insecurity rears it's fat head and steals your resolve.
Despair lurks.
And then there are other times when it's like a dance.
You move forward with motivated grace - stepping and turning and shifting with an instinctive ease.
You jump the hurdles and you sidestep calamity -
And you carefully balance want with satisfaction.

hey....is that a sample of your writing? Would it be ok to save it so I can read it from time to time? It made me think (dangerous) and it spawned some deep thoughts that went several different tangents... anyway, I loved it and would like to keep a copy, just to read once in a while...
