So my boss just called to see how the granny situation was going (he's cool like that). He mentioned that there is practically NO one in DC right now- it being Christmas week and all, most people have gone home to be with family and our little bistro will be pretty much dead. He asked if I'd like stay home, and I said yes thanks!! Much appreciated! Now my poor husband won't have to pull a double grannycare shift and can get some much needed sleep. We may get through this in tact yet
Hopefully soon I'll be able to find some time to finish up my book. A gentleman at work who is a regular customer AND just happens to be a published author has given me the name of his well respected literary agent. He mentioned that I should let him know when I'm ready to send out my cover letter and first few chapters, and he will put in a word for me with his agent.
I'm certainly going to give it a shot.
