so far today ive listened to the following:

serge gainsbourg and jane birkin
that dog
small brown bike
the four seasons
and now: modest mouse

today has been nostalgic for me in many ways..
but the again i find myself feeling nostalgia every day..
its strange but its almost as if i live in the past.. i buy all my clothing vintage.. almost every time its from the 50s/60s .. even my kitchen curtain is from the sixties.. i was walking across the street the other day heading to work and i saw an elderly crossing guard.. i thought to myself.. when this guy looks at me do i remind him of a young lady he knew in his earlier years?

i over analyze every facet of my life..
and i pay attention to every detail.. every conversation i hear as i pass people walking down the street.. i see things that most people would miss.. being so detail oriented can make a person tierd.. but i cant help it.. im so absorbed with colors and smells and sounds.. sometimes i think this would make me a great designer.. sometimes i think it would prevent me from designing items for other people instead of having my own taste in mind.. but then i remember..

i have good taste..
with this in mind im moving forward in my life with a steady and patient pace.. if i believed in god i would pray right now for the patience part.. that is one thing that i need to work on.. im getting better with age but ill admit that it is one of my weaknesses..

my birthday is in 10 days..
i will be twenty four years old..
