hola, chumps. (i don't mean it that way.)
my life is a simple thing these days. i woke up this morning and watered the garden. then i strained out the veg from the pot of broth i stewed yesterday. i drained and rinsed some black eyed peas i had been soaking then put them on the stove to boil with a bit of baking soda to prevent gas. i pureed some homemade habanero hot sauce, put it in jars, then boiled them in a pot of water to vacuum-seal them. i grated a zucchini and i'm about to grease some loaf pans.
these simple pleasures are what i prefer.

i even learned how to use a drill.

The swallows are out hunting moths during the day. It's great.

They're out the most in the morning and a while before sunset. So I always see them when I'm taking my daughter to school around 8:15.
