So as I may have said, I'm looking for full-time employment right now. Which is unpleasant, to say the least. I've been poking around on Monster.com, but I seriously need to expand my searching because Monster is turning up fuck-all in the way of suitable no-experience-necessary jobs. ('cause I don't got experience. What I have is an associate's degree. Or will at the end of the semester. Hopefully.) But they did have a link to CIA job listings, which I found intriguing, so I gave it a look. Don't think I'm going to be working for the CIA anytime soon - the vast majority of the job postings were for things requiring a bachelor's in something or other, or even a master's, and the couple of no-education-required jobs were okay but not worth an extensive background check, polygraph and drug testing, and moving to DC to take. I might actually qualify for the tech support job (entry level), but again, background check, polygraph and drug testing, and moving. Plus I don't really honestly want to do tech support. I don't think I'd be good at it for the simple reason that I often don't understand what the person with the problem is trying to tell me. When someone doesn't know the basic terms surrounding computers, I have a hard time connecting what they're saying to an actual computer issue. And if the person knows computers, then odds are they'd be better at fixing the problem than I would.

On the other hand, how cool would it be to say, "Yeah, I'm tech support to the CIA." Or "Yeah, I pack crates for the CIA."? wink
