My main gaming PC had the main hard drive (with Windows on it) fail roughly a week ago. I got the replacement, a 400GB SATAII Seagate drive on Thursday but it was OEM and I discovered that I didn't have a second SATA cable, so it took until tonight to actually get installed. I am now reinstalling Windows, a joyous process which makes me want some sort of very large disembowelling device and a flight to Redmond.
Still, it could be worse. This is probably the shortest time the stupid thing's been out of commission that I can recall. Being done with school meant I had spare money to drop on a hard drive (though anything significantly more expensive would have been out of reach), and hard drives are easy enough to install, especially SATA hard drives.

onesandzeros:
I just got a second hard drive for mine, Wishing I would have saved up the extra cash to get one that spins at 10,000 instead of 7,200 though.
