Lessee:
Picked up the fourth and seventh seasons of Buffy on DVD for a combined total of 45 bucks, new, including free shipping. A great deal, although I shouldn't have done it quite so early in the paycheck. Between that and a few other things, including school, money's going to be tight until my next payday. Bleh.
Beat Titan Quest. (On normal difficulty, anyway). Towards the end my Conqueror was really bloody vicious, but even so certain elementally attacking monsters gave me trouble as I had inadequate resists (favoring instead damage bonuses and +%str.) The final boss, Typhon....not hard. Oh well. Hacked through a little bit of Epic and then moved on.
I'd like to recommend a book called "trash sex magic" by Jennifer Stevenson. It's gorgeously written, has very eccentric characters and plenty of detail to them, and gradually building magic stuff going on. Much fun.
And I just discovered an independently made MMO that's raising my eyebrows. S'called Minions of Mirth, and it has some very unique characteristics, like offering both singleplayer and server-based multiplayer (dunno if it's with the same characters), either their servers or player-hosted, or even direct IP connection. And you can have a party of six characters to run on your own, or join up with other people's characters to have ultimately a maximum of 36(!) characters in one lean, mean killing group. It has distinct resemblances to Everquest in both visuals and some of the gameplay mechanics (the skill system, repair, food and drink, and so on) but the quest system is substantially better. You can also earn "monster templates" to create characters from (yes, you can run monster characters). And in the premium version, multiclass into two additional classes. It's no WoW, but I do suspect that I will be spending more time with it nonetheless.
Edit: Okay, it appears that MoM's "play as a monster" feature is in a separate monster area (or areas), so not quite as exciting. But it's also moddable. Granted, they've not put together an editor, but all the files can be edited with readily available programs such as Python editors and 3d modelling software.
