This hasn't been a good month for mail. I've had two Netflix DVDs delayed by a day, one that hasn't shown up yet, a Gamefly game that shipped on the 8th and just arrived today (unless Gamefly was confused and shipped Monster Hunter when they said Devil Kings. Dunno.)...

One more week of class, got the final and a make-up day and that's that. Which means I really ought to start on that research paper...

Main reason I haven't: Titan Quest. It's a Diablo clone, but it's snazzed up the whole monster-butchering process with various things that make the experience easier and more fun, like shiny new graphics and ragdoll physics, always available town portalling, socket-style equipment modification on everything except epic and legendary quality gear (instead of non-magical loot only, which made Diablo II's socket system all but useless unless you were willing to do a lot more grinding than I was.). Now, Diablo has a more interesting setting and plot, but it was never about those things.

Secondary reason: Prey. Doom 3 engine, but used a hell of a lot better than Doom 3 did it. Oh, I liked Doom 3, but Prey blows it out of the water. Funky organic-tech environments, freaky gravity effects and portals. And halfway decent story and immersion. Also, it's a lot better lit. (And for whatever reason it actually runs better on my computer than Doom 3 did. Or Quake IV. Not that my computer can't handle those games just fine, but it was never quite as smooth as Half-Life 2. Or Oblivion, for that matter.)
