I hate summer. Even when I was a kid and got off school for three months, I hated summer. I don't like the outdoors in the best of times, but when it's blazingly hot and the sun is eyekillingly bright, and there is a veritable horde of insects just waiting to devour you alive...well. No thank you. At least when I'm home there's some chance of the air-conditioning being on so that I do not die of heat-prostration (that, and I live in the basement, so I get a bit of natural cooling), though I don't have access to the thermostat, so it's not guaranteed. But unfortunately, I can't simply stay home. I have a job. A job that is not properly air-conditioned. Oh, they have it, and they run it, but it's barely detectable and there's zero air circulation so it's hot, close, and I am rivers of sweat by the time I'm done with a cart. Compounding this is the (relatively) new dress code which requires me to wear long pants and heavy cotton polo shirts (well, it's not actually quite so specific as that, but those are the clothing items I own that meet the standards, and I hate clothes shopping also.). Bleh.
Incidentally, I get hot at 70 degrees Fahrenheit, so you can well imagine that I do not readily get cool during the summer.

Perhaps you should move northwards?
