Right, beat Suikoden IV. Really, even despite my having made certain tactical miscalculations, the endgame was not hard. I cleared the final naval battle without losing a single ship (though it was close). Both groups I sent into the last area were level 99 from wall to wall, so even though I forgot to properly equip the detachment party I simply released all enemies from combat until I got to the boss battle, and him I pretty much killed dead in melee with no significant trouble. The second one had an even easier time because they were well equipped and had a Slash Rune. Instakilling everything on your way to the final boss is hilarious. (Also funny: you can't Slash bosses, the command's redded out, but I was high enough level that I could have done it if it hadn't been a boss.) That boss was impressive visually, but meant for a group some 40 levels lower and went down almost without a fight.

So now I have a Suikoden IV (108 stars) cleared data save on my memory card. I could do New Game +, but it's pretty pointless, so I'll be sending the game back to Gamefly. I know for a fact I can import that save into Tactics if nothing else, so that's on the list.
