So my PC stopped working for ~the seven billionth time. It's looking pretty good (I mean, bad) to be the CPU that's at issue, which is roughly 185 kinds of bad. 'cause, um, that's how much it'd cost to replace. There are things that are more expensive in there....well, one thing, my graphics card. Everything else is cheaper and would be fairly easy to replace. 185 is not easily achieved for a man of my limited means. I could downgrade a bit, save quite a bit of money. But it really sucks to lose use of your computer for what would still be weeks, and then come out of it with less computer for your trouble. I could also switch to Athlon 64, which would be a fairly significant upgrade, but would necessitate a new motherboard, bringing total expense pretty much back to the 180-190 range, and occasioning a lot of other hassles and problems to go along.
I hate PCs.
