Owowwowowowowowow, my *thumb*. As usual after playing Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, it is weary and verging on blister, fruits of making the Hulk perform massive leap after massive leap, while targeting, charge-throwing stuff, etc.
And it just got a particularly intense workout, in the form of the final boss battle. Yep, I beat the game...though not without failing repeatedly first. Still, each failure was closer to beating the goddamn boss. And I will say that it was a truly epic confrontation. The Abomination gave it everything he had, I only barely survived...the Army jets circling and blasting us both actually helped quite a lot. Must've done at least a quarter of the Abomination's life to it, in one form or another, and only thanks to their luscious, health-replenishing powerups when defeated, did I live as long as I did. Even so, Abomination was about to take out the last generator, and I was down in Adrenaline Surge, by the end. He had only perhaps a quarter of a life bar yet. I was accidentally targeting a jet. I initiated Critical Pain, and bopped off the Abomination to cruise skyward...but he fell nonetheless. Must've connected in that brief moment.
Phew. I think that makes up for the mission immediately beforehand, where I died over and over again to a constant stream of Army-fired missiles trying to keep up with Abomination, and the victory strategy turned out to involve simply jumping around a lot and waiting for the Abomination to kill some Army vehicles so you could snag some powerups, while letting them whittle away his health.
