malice

Picked up Chuck Palahniuk's "Haunted" yesterday and got about 80 pages into it today. I have to say, I am a horrible reader, in fact it's the first fiction book that I've read in a good year....something to do with the ADD perhaps...but I can't say for sure ;P

This book is definately keeping my attention! It's very well written. Keeps you wondering what's going to happen next...I think that's something that makes a good book (ya, really Malice?)...but I wouldn't know since this is the first book I've read in a while.

I can't really remember what I concidered attention grabbing when I was younger. Perhaps the Vampire Chronicles...though I got a wee bit lost reading those half the time...Steven King books that I read when I was in elementary school just got too descriptive and boring for my taste.

I think that's why I turned to comics eventually. Though now I see that many comics are really bad for keeping your imagination alive. The scene is right there in front of you, nothing to think about really. Some exceptions of course, I've read some fabulous comics with lots of thought provoking dialogue.

Now that I've talked out of my ass (don't take that literally....I'll kick you!) for a good 4 paragraphs I'll call it quits....distracting myself from stupid b.s. lately is rather helpful at least!
