Children are a gift. Mostly at Halloween time. You send them out to fetch you candy.

We went out to the boyfriend's neighborhood, which is super nice. Most of the town was apparently downtown, so those who were handing candy out at their doors, were very glad to see us, throwing handfuls of treats at my preschooler. I think now is a good time to start using the dental insurance.

I hacked together a decent enough pirate costume, since I haven't dressed up in years. I have decided though that I need to sew up some real fancy pirate garb for us. You need a good pirate outfit at least twice a year. Probably more.
