r3v and I spent the week in NYC. Stayed at the New yorker hotel in midtown, which is hell. Next time, i'll have to not bring lootable goods, and stay at St Marks. Much more centralized to everywhere that I love.
Tuesday was a big day. We spent the afternoon at the Met, cooing over the collection of flintlocks, the Picassos, Manets, and Mondrians. We didn't make it everywhere that I had hoped, but I still got me some boots that I have been searching for all year, the best damn falafel ever, and a 6 pack of Brooklyn Pennant Ale.
Of course the highlight of our NY trip was spending the day with ymonster. He was a awesome as hell, staying at the shop to work on us till almost 3am, and dealing with all the funny faces and crazy breathing I was doing. Worth every minute! We both got gorgeous tattoos, pics to come.
Off to downtown Philly soon or some fancy pants sushi at Pod restaurant.
