The Slow Burn

An old fire banked.
Stirs to life with a gentle breath of fresh air. Slowly at first. The coals hungry for fuel.The coals have slept and dreamt of the blaze they once where.
Knowing ,waiting for the cycle of things to come about again.
They yearn and reach hungrily towards the fuel as it approaches.
Warming then heating, slowly bringing it to the point of combustion.
Now the flames lick upwards burning brighter and hotter.
Consuming this fuel, though not destroying,only changing its matter from one form to another.
The coals that once slept, have awakened,and the nature of fire as it is.
They hunger for more.
