I woke and my head was this way

Well, I've been digging deep into my notebook where I keep all the poems/ lyrics from the past 14 years. This one jumped out at me. I wrote this siting on my backpack in a little place called 11 mile Colorado. I was hitchhiking to Las Vegas. Boy what a crazy ass couple weeks that was. After spending a few hours with myself, sorting through stupidly brilliant rants and various scribbling, I began to flash back to the times. Reading some of these things again years later kind of sheds light on the recipe I call me.
I guess, I have settled down tons from those days. I have been described as a free spirt. Almost too free. Wonder if there is someone wild enough to run with me? She has already tried to tame me but I escaped.

I don't think I've heard that album before. PJ is one of those artists that I just recently discovered, in no small part due to my time spent here. I had heard of her before, but hadn't listened to her stuff before (at least not that I remember, and I think I'd remember her). Then I listened to Rid of Me, and the rest is history...
