Here is my quarterly journal update:
- Willfully unemployed once more. But running out of money fast. Who will win, me or The Man? Stay tuned.
- I still like Seattle, which is odd, considering I don't generally like places or things.
- Writing music is harder than it used to be. Writing and recording everything yourself for a solo project without any band members to make me do things is nearly impossible. But I've got 8 measures done. Just 64 more and I'm done with the first song!
- I shaved my scruffy looking chin a while ago, and gave myself pseudo-indie rock black and red bangs. It's hard to get the bangs to stay down, but when they do, my hipster cred goes up by 20 points. It also seems to impress goth kids, since it's only pseudo-hip, and still has some spikey parts.
- I gave up the dancing robots game I was programming to work on one that I'd actually enjoy a little more, though unfortunately it will take six times as long, so I may never finish it. I wish I could download some motivation. Or buy some at QFC. It's in short supply these days.
- I kinda feel like the last year or so has been one of those little puzzles where you slide the squares around to try to get them to line up and form a recognizable picture. But I can't figure out what the picture's supposed to be. Also, it's probably not one of those puzzles, since I'd be able to solve it with the A* pathfinding algorithm, and I'm pretty sure I tried that already. Or maybe the slideys have too many dimensions to get a reasonable heuristic. I don't know what I'm takling about right now.
