Welp, today's my birthday. The big three-oh. I anticipated being really depressed about it. But as it turns out, I'm feeling pretty good! I took the day off work, and Dr. GF got to go in late to her internship, so she was able to stay at the house last night. She made me lemon bars and gave me the best birthday present ever--a digital recorder!! Now I can retire that crappy old micro-cassette one I take to band practice every week.

Yes, life's been good to me and the future looks bright! I got this sweet new place, I'm living with a wonderful girl who loves me more than anything, got a great band that's gigging and working on new recordings and songs. Sure, the day job could be better and money's a problem sometimes. But at the end of the day, I've got everything really I need...

Anyways, this old-timer does ramble on sometimes. Guess I'm off to join the geezers group. Then back to beer, birthday sex, and video games! (Proper celebration with friends to follow on a weekend date)
