Well, the investment company in NYC doesn't want to hire me. But I already turned down the place in McLean. I think no matter what, I need a change of scenery. I've really gotten to like some people here, but one group--Dave and them--organize things enough that I'd see them regularly (if not often) even if I moved to NYC. And Christie and company is, for my purposes, just Christie at this point, since Mariam, my favorite among her friends, is moving away for school. I like Christie; sometimes I want to date her, but I also sometimes think that I only want that because it's been so long since I've had a woman. To be honest, we don't seem to quite click, and so I'm constantly wavering back and forth on the issue. Anyway, the point is, if I move away, I'll be getting out of an area that I never liked, and while there is a social cost, that has benefits to be gained, too: Dwen and Esther would be local, and Rina and Juliana would be much more readily reachable. Also, Jay swears she'd come visit me if I lived in New York. I wonder if I could get Aaraa to come by now and again? I don't actually know what she's doing after school, though, so no point in thinking about that.

Anyway, this is just musing. I've more or less already made up my mind that I'm moving if I possibly can. It's just a matter of finding a place I can a afford with the salary of a job I can both get and tolerate.
