FREEDOM!
Anyway, yeah. No more work for a bit. So far I've just been tooling around, mostly. I had an interview in New York City on Thursday, which went kind of... eh. I didn't think I performed too well, but afterwards I talked to the recruiters who referred me to the company and said there were some good signs. They did spent a full 8 hours interrogating me, rather than dismissing me early, so I guess I at least seemed to have the potential for, um, some potential, and I'll hear tomorrow. Also, I got a free lunch out of the deal. So, um, win?
Other random things include:
-Turns out one of those 7-11's turned into a Kwik-E-Mart is near my place, so I went over there. Krusty-Os are just Froot Loops in a different box, which sucks. Blue Vanilla Squishees, though, are really surprisingly good.
-My friend got a trampoline, so we had a trampoline party. It was awesome. If you know me well enough that we're Facebook friends, you should go check out the photos. I'm tagged, so they should come up under "see more photos"
-I found out that my friend is dating an ex-Suicide Girl. Apparently she used to be Astrid Suicide, but after her parents found out and severely disapproved she paid the fee to the site to take down her set from the archives, and the name was erased from history, leaving it free for the new Astrid. The most interesting thing about this, to me, is that I could just tell. Having met Nixon and Reagan at the live show, and hung out a good bit with Aaraa, there really is a certain vibe that's common to all of them, and this girl had it too. When I saw she had SG friended on her Myspace, I had to ask, and lo and behold....! Her boyfriend doesn't know, but I don't think he'll mind. And maybe I'll introduce Aaraa to her (if Aaraa's coming back to MD).
-Speaking of Aaraa, I'll be flying out to visit her soon! I have a multi-destination trip planned, so starting in about a week I'll be visiting my college room-mate in Dallas, then a local friend that moved away up in Minneapolis, and then Aaraa out at her school. Should be fun; I've never been out to the latter two places before.
