One more day of work! And then screw this, I'm out of here.
I got a formal offer from the place down in McLean today, for a 20% raise over my current salary plus bonuses and stock options and whatever. I also took a coding test for the NYC place. It seemed pretty easy, so hopefully it went well. God only knows what they'll pay me, but when I said that I could currently pay rent with 2/3 of a paycheck, he said that wasn't unreasonable to maintain. Given NYC rents, that means $$$. Of course, I'm not sure the work would be quite as interesting as McLean's, but... living in New York sure beats the hell out of Northern VA. If you've been there, you know what I mean.
Anyway, for this weekend, celebrations of freedom!
