Busy, busy, busy. Just errands and crap, though, nothing terribly interesting to talk about. Writing up cards, buying gifts. Also, I'm gratified to report that I once again have something to do at work. For a little while again, I'm no longer a professional internet surfer. (for a little while...)

I did get in a car accident last weekend, though. I was going to yet another "holiday get-together," this one being a good two hours' drive, when some one decided it would be appropriate to stop dead on the highway. I was in the middle of a line of three or four cars that all hit each other. Fortunately, everyone involved at least almost stopped in time, so there's no damage except scuffed paint. I may get away without even having this reported. The person behind me obviously has no interest in reporting that he hit me, and the couple in front that I hit didn't seem to have even the paint scrapes that I got. However, they didn't speak very good English, so I have no idea what their intentions are (despite about 4 tries at explaining them to me). They seemed confused about what we ought to be doing, so they might end up filing the report just as a matter of propriety. Here's hoping not--I just turned 25, and was looking forward to cheaper insurance rates for my new age group.

Also on the interesting list, I have one more holiday party to attend, and this time there's a certain attractive single young woman I'm interested in spending some time with. Operating in my favor is the fact that our host managed to invite both her and her ex-boyfriend. Hopefully she'll be kind of on the outskirts of the conversations so I'll have a little more chance to talk to her than usual. Wish me luck!
