First off, I want to note how vindicated I feel on the issue of tagging sets. I posted on the "new site version" threads that giving the users a chance to contribute is never a good idea, since most of us are either perverts or jerks (myself excluded, natch wink) Go check out Regan's latest. Unless she's cleaned it up, it's tagged with, among other things, "Gremlin face," and "why do you have stormy's solo when you suck so bad." Aren't SG's users just charming? Like I said before, the pervs and jerks are kind enough to mainly skip the forums, since they're just here for the naked chicks, but if you let them give input there... Bad, bad, bad.

Been a little while since I've updated. Like I mentioned in the last entry, not much went on for a while. I did go to Jenny's party the last week of September. It was pretty fun. I usually hate parties, but she seems to have a knack for getting together good mixes of people. I suppose it probably helped that I spent part of the evening talking to her incredibly hot cousin. Alyson is a competitive swimmer--if you know any of them, then I'm sure you can imagine her body. We exchanged contact information at the end of the night, and a little bit ago, I sent her an e-mail to see if she'd like to go see Little Miss Sunshine with me and another friend I know who wants to see it. We'd talked about it briefly at the party, so I know she's at least into the film. We'll see if she's free.

Last weekend was another wedding, for my college friend Juliana. Tragically, I did not have the opportunity to nail one of the bride's guests this time. I actually brought my own date: the wedding is up around where Dwen lives, so I stayed at her place for the weekend, and she went with me to the festivities. That was the plan, anyway. In actuality, what happened was that we woke up late, took too long getting dress, and got lost, and didn't even make the actual wedding. And while we did make it to the reception afterwards, I was sick, spend the whole time trying not to hack and cough during important speeches, and then we left early. So, I basically spent $70 in gas money to go say hi to Jules and give her a present. I guess that's worth it since I haven't seen her in a while, but it would have been nice to see the ceremony and have time to stay and socialize.

That aside, the reception was beautiful. It was held at an inn on the Connecticut shore, a mansion on a hilltop overlooking a little cove with a colonial-era seaport. Everything was immaculately put-together. If I didn't know Jules had such a penchant for doing things herself, I'd have guess that the affair would have been over $10k. But knowing her (and having been to her daughter's entirely hand-crafted Christening), I found myself noting little touches that I figured she did herself: centerpieces were probably hand-made, all the place cards were hand-inked (in perfect calligraphy, of course). I thought she might even have made the appetizers, until I heard her mention to another guest, "I wish I'd had time to do the cooking. I could totally do these better." Of course the whole thing was probably still insanely expensive even without those extra costs, but it really was the fairy-tale wedding that girls (or girl stereotypes, anyway) dream about. God help me if I choose to marry a woman that wants that. I'll end up bankrupt and insane from the planning.

Amusingly, it was nice enough to thoroughly embitter Dwen. She went home and promptly dumped her boyfriend to "find someone I actually want to marry."

PS: Dwen and I drove the whole hour back to her place rocking out to System of a Down. I love that tiny cute little Dwen (go look in my pictures) has something like that sandwiched between her Britney Spears and NOW! compilations.

Also: My G-d, SG on CSI? I know "sellout" is a pretty iffy term when applied to a for-profit company, but I think guest-starring on a Jerry Bruckheimer production pretty well qualifies.
