bloody long week. been recce'ing for the cheerleaders film. battering about central scotland in a hire car getting lost and doing u-turns on a-roads.

marvelling at the amount of effort these girls put into their athleticism and appearance. didn't meet one who goes to the gym less than 4 days a week. some twice a day. i've really developed a sort of respect for them. it's not how i want to be but they are very focused, committed to what they do and are and are becoming. plus, i'd love to be able to do backfilps

saturday was the oil rig trip. at 6:30 i was standing on the helipad in warm, bright sunshine. i turned through 360o and the only thing you could see was sea and horizon, save for the tiny outline of one other rig in the far distance. just extraordinary. that amount of open space really disconcerted me. it's frightening, and awesome in the very best way. the sublime i suppose or something like it.

i was swinging boom for the first time as well. and the sound came out ok. rar!
