I lost my cell phone today...

but worse I got semi-diagnosed with BPPV.

I say semi-diagnosed because my doc thinks I corrected it myself. She tried to induce it but nothing happened.

Basically you have these pez shaped things floating in goo in you ear mechanics and when one accidentally escapes it can bounce around like a pinball in the wrong part of the ear and sends signals to your brain that you are on a roller coaster or a tilt-a-whirl when you are really just cocking your head to get a good snug pillow position.



Correcting it is simply a matter of dispensing the pez to another part of your head where it won't flip you out. The treatment is a therapy of head tilts and eating super-dramamine daily (called Bonine).



Last night in bed, I turned to nestle my right ear into my pillow, and next thing I knew the room was a sideways NASA human centrifuge spinning at easily 10+ rotations per second, much faster than the two or so per second I feel when spinning from excess alcohol. Thank god it only lasted a second or two or barfing and black-outs would undoubtedly have ensued.





So much for my dream for that "One Day"...
