I've been letting go of a lot of things in the last week or so. In fact on some days the last day I can remember feeling as relaxed about myself was when I was 17 and had settled in Maui.
Why do we not fight these pressures and stress? Do we not want to have our cake and eat it too? Oooh look at the cake. Oooh!
Speaking of which, also since I have been out here I occaisionally run into someone I knew from high school. Today while temping at the Pacific Maritime Association, I met a guy who I didn't recognize but his style said Berkeley High School. So we got talking and he knew Coltrane, Josh Brooks, Bart and Xan. All people of varying degrees of friendship.
Then I found out that Xan is the guitarist for Cake. Good for him!
