And, don't forget, until Bush came alone Texas was an extremely Democratic state (Re: Anne Richards).

As for keeping Bush in office, I can't agree to that because he's the worst President we've ever had, and this is in his FIRST four years - most bad Presidents aren't bad until their last four when they don't have to worry about reelection. Just imagine what he'll do without fear of losing votes!!!
Besides, I'd rather put a liberal douche bag politician like Kerry into office then allow a facist like Bush destroy our foreign policy even worse (most pundits say Bush has done at least twenty years worth of damage to our international foreign policy...just chew on that - another four years and he'll have the world loathing us until you're old and gray and most likely dead of old age).
