I don't care much for getting older myself. Funny coincidence that you mention music making you nostalgic when that is something I just commented on in my journal entry... I heard a song that reminded me of my old roommate and it makes me miss her a lot.

Different environmental stimuli can make the same person a better adjusted member of society than someone else, but I don't think really pathological conditions get created out of nothing. That's an extreme case, but just to make the point.
We have a heritage of millions of years of primate evolution. That's an awful lot of potential pre-imprinting that seems to be to be as important in principle as CURRENT environmental influences.
