Jesus fucking Christ. People get shot and die all the time in so many manners of ways, some disturbing and violent.
When celebrities die, like Dimebag, why does everybody seem like it affects them so personally; just because they knew who he was? Just because they listened to Pantera (because face it, Damage Plan kinda sucked anyway) when they were young angry teens? Did his overwhelmingly phenomonal guitar skills really move you so much that you felt that Dimebag was truly in your heart and part of your soul that you had to think about him all day? Hell, I loved Nirvana back in the day and when Kurt Cobain died I was like, "Fuck! I never got to see them live!" Why didn't I cry all day and attend a fucking candlelight vigil? Becasue I never knew Kurt fucking Cobain! He didn't know me either and if I died, do you think that Good Old Kurt would waste even a second grieving about me? NO! As well he shouldn't, and do you know why?!? Because he has no idea who in the fuck I am! Just in the same way, just because I know who Kurt Cobain WAS, does not mean that I know who he was PERSONALLY, so why should it have affected me when he shot his fucking head off?
...back to our dearly departed Dimebag (RIP, cry, boo hoo, I'll miss you buddy! etc etc) For fuck's sake! He was a fucking guitar player who played music, got wasted all fucking day and had fucked more girls in the ass than the average army platoon. Why is everyone so damn depressed that he died? Soley because of the strange and tragic way that he died?
What about all the fucking 19 year old GI's forced to dodge bullets and brave bombs in mother fucking Iraq? What about when a bomb rips apart their poorly armored Hum V and their legs go flying to the left while their torso and head fly god knows where? Why don't people cry about that shit all day and grieve for these fucking KIDS instead of fucking Dimebag, the man who named himself after a bag of fucking weed? KNow why? BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHO THE FUCK THOSE KIDS ARE, just like you truly don't know who the fuck Dimebag was. It's fucking backwards. Yeah, maybe he was a "nice" guy. So what. SO AM I! So is my friend Dan who could wail circles around Dimebag on the guitar...
I sure don't want anyone to think that I'm glad he's dead or that I think he deserved it, because I sure don't wish ANYONE to be shot dead or even killed or have to go through pain for no reason, but for fuckin' hell's sake, you didn't even fucking know him! Express your unhappiness for a few seconds at the tragic event and move on!
Seriously, you'd think it was one of the few celebrities who actually deserved mass grieving like Lennon, but it was fucking DIMEBAG!!! DIMEBAG, a big fat metal guitar player who spent most of his time high and keeping himself happy! What did he ever do for society? Nothing. All he did was make shitloads of cash playing music that kids just happened to like. I mean really, have you ever seen the old Pantera documentary? All he did was eat, sleep, get high and fuck! What the fuck did Dimebag do to warrant such giant displays of public concern? You'd think the fucking twin towers had fallen all over again or something...
Ok: Here are a couple celebrities I can think of who have actually impacted the world in positive ways and for whom public displays of grief will be warranted when they die:
Bob FUCKING Dylan and Bono. I''m sure there are more but I can't think of them now...
No fucking Dimebag's or Ty Longley's(Great White guitarist who died in a TRAGIC fire) here; why, cuz they were ordinary fucking joes like you and me who didn't do shit. The ONLY difference between THEM and YOU is that because so many people liked their music, they became well-known. PEOPLE KNEW WHO THEY WERE! That's it, and the way people revere widely known people (celebrities) is really kind of strange and sad seeing as so many people seem to think that how a certain celebrity acts in a role in a movie or how a certain celebrity acts on stage, or how well he/she plays guitar is a direct connection with themselves as everyday people...
Oh geez, and then you get the local area "semi-celebrities." Holy shit - and you have to deal with the local name-dropper cocksuckers... but that is a WHOLE different bag of nails which I am not going to elaborate upon now...
Pretty sad really... Why aren't people more strong-minded?
UPDATE
This is just a reminder of how much better MC Paul Barman is than that cock-wanker Eminem. For real my friends, if you (sadly enough) dig on Eminem, then check out MC Paul Barman (if you haven't already) for some real rhyming talent minus the dipshit hard-ass attitude. Attitude is for weak-minded fuckfaces. Have some!
