well...allow me to give some tips, as a girl who was once new here:
1-fill out your profile. people hate seeing profiles that are mostly blank. you like music, movies, tv, games, books? then tell us which ones.
2-join groups and be active. being a part of the community and expressing yourself lets people know who you are. and, if they don't know who are, they really don't care too much about seeing you naked (a key element of being a suicidegirl). you've got a personality...show it.
3-be articulate. this is not facebook. there are many, many highly intelligent and educated people here. if you don't take the time to write an intelligent and coherent statement, why should anyone take the time to read what you've written?
4-post lots of pictures, but post them in the appropriate threads. random picture spamming is highly frowned on around here, no matter how cute you are. but definitely, if you are trying to garner a following so that you can attempt to be an sg, post plenty of pictures, and be sure to be properly appreciative to the people who respond positively to said postings.
5-try not to start any new threads for the first few months you are here. it smacks of "noob," and will turn people off. once you dig into that hole, it's very difficult to dig out of. (example: Comic_Guy. he jumped right in, started a ton of threads, pissed people off, and they put him on permanent ignore...now they'll never see what he posts, no matter how pertinent the posting may be)
6-comment on other people's postings. don't just post and ignore other people. right or wrong, it makes you seem like a snob, and people will not be interested in you for long...i've seen it happen to many girls.
