i've discovered something about myself. something that explains a lot.


i was meant to be a nomad.
i was meant to travel and explore this world at least a little before i settle down anywhere. i wanna either see or live in portland, new york, chicago, paris, amsterdam, canada, los angeles, and boston. i need to travel and meet new people and get out in the world so i can find myself and figure out where i wanna be headed in my life.

this city is just a trap and a block for any creativity and motivation.



or maybe, in my travels i'll meet a cute nfl qb and live richly and happily ever after haha. 5-2, bitches. if only delhomme was cute...

Growing up, my dad was Air Force. We moved about every two years. So I haven't the ability I don't think to truly enjoy staying anywhere longer than a couple of years. The five years I just spent outside of Philly up in PA was tortuous...I was ready to leave after a few but circumstances kept ... roping me back in.

I do have to say that Charlotte is ... not exactly what I expected. It's not the booming growing city of the south that it looks to be on paper, but then again the economy the way it is, very few places are. However, there is such a lack of a ... creative commercial market here (that's not exactly what I mean, but it's close) that I could see feeling trapped after a few years.

The only reason I stick with restaurant management is that it's secure and opportunity filled even in times of financial hardship throughout the economy.

But I could see wanting to travel. My best friend quit college and went to NYC to pursue her dreams of broadway...ended up doing theater management and show sales, but she survived. She did the same thing a few years later and up and went to England for about a year or so. Recently back, she's trying to settle and having a hard time of it.

I guess the short answer is ... go with your heart. I warn you though, 3/4's of your listed cities are colder than hell during certain parts of the year so pick your visiting times wisely wink

Then again, I hate the snow...
