1st day of dry July!
Got home from work and in bed drinking tea. I can do this dam it!
Thought I would put a few more shots up of my time living in an Aboriginal communtiy in central oz last year.
They are so inspiring to me when i look at them and I hope you guys get something from it.
We have a beautiful country and amazing culture that still is alive in the desert today...






Yes that is an emu foot and yes the kids were chasing me with it so I screamed like a scared little white girl!

Hey Tahliana, I was in the community for a 10wk volunteer program. We worked with a youth company that was created in 1999 to stop young kids petrol sniffing. Its been almost 100% sucessful which is wicked! Spent my days helping out elders at the artist center and then homework centre with the kids after school. We had youth program in the arvo which was pretty much swimming in the new pool (funded by the government intervention money) and nights working with kids who left school and trying to motivate them to keep learning.
