I'm knackered after the usual long boring week of work and am looking forwards to the weekend. Felt irritable and moody when I got back home so I watched Shrek to cheer myself up. Only one more day of toil to go and then I can do a Homer and carry on braincell death by beer. I've got a friends stag night on Saturday which promises to be entertaining since we're dragging him on a pubcrawl and then to a stripclub, the poor lads got a low tolerance for the booze so he's gonna be well langered.

Also I found today a copy of the Saxon version of Beowulf. Now to amuse myself and see how much of it I can understand without the aid of my English copy. Hey, I've got a skewed sense of joy.

I'm so glad I practised pronunciations of old Gaelic/Briton/Cymru words during the course of reading up on history, tackling this should not be too bad now. If I'd have tried having a go at the Saxon verion 10 years ago my tongue would be tied in knots
