quirky tunes flitter
across lines drawn in
sands worn most smooth
ache, oh broken ache!
why must you visit me so?

there is nothing so confusing
as confusion's confusion
or luminous illusion
when at muse's end,
dawn greets such sore eyes
pieces of gratitude in
places unseen
for the most dreadful
separation
you have endured
yet every spendor, golden
begs you back again
mind wanders to those
most traveled lands
