OH MAN! OH MAN! OH MAN!!! I'm so excited!! Bonnaroo is in 9 days, 22 hrs. and 51 minuets (as of right now) and I realllly cant wait!! I'm going to get to see Wolfmother, Kings Of Leon(again), White Stripes, The Decemberist, Wilco, Regina Spektor, Lily Allen, The Police, and so many more. I think both Josh and I are going to explode!!So about the whole Kings of Leon(again) thing. Thats a crazy story. Indeed. So here goes:
Josh, Abi, and I decided to go all the way down to Atlanta to see if the Tabernacle Box office held any extra tickets to the Kings Of Leon show Friday because it was sold out and sometimes venus do that....BUT they didn't for this show so we were really bummed. So our next brillient idea was....buy tickets from a Scalper...ugh! $200 dollars later(between the three of us) we were in line with tickets,yay! right? Wrong, We get up to the door to go into the venue and were turned away because our tickets were fake. We were SO pissed esp. because there wasn't anything we could do. We just lost 60 dollars each. LAME! So Josh and Abi decided to go look around with hopes of finding an open door to sneak in or something and I began to talk to security. There was this nice black gaurd they called tubs or something cuz he was a big guy. I told him our story, almost in tears ha, and he said he'd try to help me. When Josh and Abi got back I filled them in on what was up. We waited around when all of the subben Caleb and Nathan Followil of KOL got out of a cab and walked right y us. We all just kinda stood there in awe. The security gaurd i talked to before sugested I talk to Caleb and see if he'd help me. My first thought was "HA! Yeah Right!! Like that'll happen" but when Caleb got off their tour bus I asked him to talk and told him my story and much to my surprise he offerd to put my name +2 on their personal guest list. AMAZING. 10/15 minuets later they came out to let us know we were on the list, we went to pick up our tickets at the box office (They look of astonishment on the box office guys face was priceless because he had pretty much laughed at us before for the fake tickets and that added to the sweetness of the situation) and then we headed into THE BEST SHOW EVER. It really was an AMAZING show.
SO yeah, that was my weekend at it's best.
