for those of you who may be interested, I'm headed off to maine in a few minutes. all my shit's packed (it took about 15 minutes to get it all together .. about the same amount of time is took to wrap one of my packages in duct tape)

I'm going to take the dreaded greyhound from salt lake city back to portland maine .. I've done this exact trip on a bus about five years ago and I gotta tell you, I'm not excited about it in the least. ever spent almost four days on a bus with all the sorts of people who can't afford to fly? it's a real fucking horror show.

but it is a lot cheaper than flying and I have to make my sad sad bank account stretch as far as I can .. so I'm off, and I'll just keep telling myself that when I get back to maine I'll be able to go for a ride, and that will help to ease my cramped legs and my compacted bowels..

the real fun comes when I get back to maine .. can anyone say 'road trip'? looks like I'll be packing back for virginia, but I'm thinking I might make a few detours along the way. anyone from the mid-west to the eastern seaboard want to have me sleep on their couch, eat all their food, and leave a pile of man hair in their shower? don't bother answering just yet, I'll post the question a little more formally when I get an idea of where I want to go ..

so here's to hopeing I don't have to sit next to that guy who flossed his teeth and flicked all the pickings from his teeth around the bus at three am while I try to sleep again ..
