ok so today i had the worse customer in the world.
so at the pet store he drives a cart up with a bag of cat food and like 5 cans of cat food. he throws money on the counter.i have to reach way over to scan the bag and then ask him nicely if he can give me the cans so i can scan them (most customers think that we should unload their cart, fuckers) anyway so he picks them up and as soon as they are in the air he drops them then i hear "god dammit you mother fucker bitch dummy aren't you listening to me?" fuck this fuck that. so i say "excuse me?" and he keeps on so i set the scanner down and yell for my assistant manager and tell the guy he can leave cause i am not going to ring his ass up. so my co worker comes up and i tell her very loudly the guy is a dick and is cussing me out and i refuse to ring him up. bystanding customers are saying "what is that guys problem". so she starts to ring him (she is very calm) and he takes the cans back and drops them again and starts cussing all over again. i come walking closer because i have this thing about backing down. i swear he said something like "damn woman don't you listen to me? don't you understand what i am saying. you all shouldn't hire dummies to work here"
i tell him "you shouldn't be calling people names"
"i didn't call you any names you god damn dummy" he shouts...which i had to laugh at. the other worker is telling me to walk away because i can't shut up. so he starts towards the door still yelling and i tell him to get out or i am calling the police.
"i'm never coming here again. yall got god damn dummies working..."
the other customers shout "then don't come back" which also made me laugh.
stupid customer. the only thing we could figure out is that he was drunk. i actually handled it very well for my temper. i prolly should have been throwing the cans at him. i refuse service to people a lot, some people i won't even ring, i will just walk away like i didn't see them and get someone else to ring. i also like to refuse animal sales, like when people tell me that they want a cheap fish so it doesn't matter when it dies or they aren 't going to take care of it anyway. people are so ignorant.
so other than that, i work 2 jobs, one fulltime that i don't get fulltime hours at and my benefits are in danger all the time and the other i can't work too many hours because of my scheduling with the fulltime job. i am broke. and it sucks.

I worked years ago as a sales clerk and had everytime pesky customers (but never like yours). I'm not made for customer contact. Well, I'm very sticky to service but when they're assholes... I think that people use that little privilege of power (you a little employee, them the wonderful customer) to throw up all their stress and anger on you because they can't do it on other people.
