So, its been a pretty up and down week.
Monday seemed like a regular Monday: lethargic day at work, hit the gym, I had just finished a book the day before, A Walk Across America, and had settled in to watch a movie. Side note, the book is an easy read, half decent, except the author gets a little bit of that rah rah style that anyone whos read The Celestine Prophecy will recognize.
Then, my friend calls. Its her 30th birthday, and shes having some friends over. Its ~ 23:00 at this point, so I clean myself up and head over.

My friend, as are most of the friends she has over, is a stripper. Plus, to use a colloquialism of dj Assault, bisexual bitches like to do they friends. Pretty soon, some hot sex ensues. This enrages her boyfriend, and old friend of mine. Let me step back and describe him.

Ive known this guy for about 6 years. We operate on different schedules, him being a manager of a restaurant or club during most of our tenure, myself being a software engineer. Were friends that can pick up after not seeing each other for a while and not miss a beat; Sort of an unspoken respect. Were both, however, rather closed off individuals, him especially to me since his son died in the house that he and I were living in about a year after having met him.
Anyhow, a really bright guy, but he was irrationally pissed. The two that were going at it were consenting, promiscuous, adults. His girl was not part of the action, other than maybe poking some fun at the girl in this scenario as his girl (my friend) had on this black vibrating strap on. He called them trash at one point, and his girl a whore at another. Now, he has, on previous occasion, slept with his girl and the girl thats a part of the aforementioned action at the same time.

So, the rest of my night, mixed in with a few mixed drinks, is spent between flirting and being not quite as promiscuous with some of the other girls and consoling my friend, who has been called a whore and is no longer sure she still has a boyfriend.

I get outta there and walk home to crash say 3:30 ~ 4:00. Tuesday, Im a rock star. Wake up feeling like a champ thanks to massive hydration and some healthy chow before I crash. Nothing much of significance this day, as Im sure that pushing myself would likely come back to haunt me.

Well, Wednesday my body comes fighting back, essentially saying what the hell was that?!? No matter how much I try, after an inordinate amount of sleep, I am exhausted. This carried over into today to the point where I almost feel defeated. At one point I was missing winter so that I would have an excuse not to shave. Now, Im not a winter guy, never have been, to the point where Im very close to packing my bags and moving to San Diego so that I never have to deal with winter again.

So today, I slept in and worked from home. Well, mostly slacked from home, and Ill check in a few times over the weekend to make sure my tests that are running go through cause Im a good guy like that. But, like I was saying, my body seems to be warping my mind. I started to get down, and subsequently fought that vicious cycle of being upset at myself for being upset. And, as usual, I tried to crash out early tonight and failed, sleeping for 3.5 hours and waking up, about an hour or so ago.

Fucking B, I need burning man to be here. Although, this has been needlessly stressing me out too some of the reasons I considered not going are coming back to haunt me things like really needing a new tent and boots, not to mention all the other cool things I shouldnt be spending money on. I need a vacation from my vacation, and Im not even on it yet.
