So, I can't afford to get any work done on my sleeve this week, but here's a teaser of some of the more recent work:

What's that white band around my wrist? I'm glad you asked, apparently when I say "I'm working myself to death" I'm not all that far off.

After a pretty long work week, I was feeling a bit run down. I felt this way on Wednesday when I flaked out on going to Hyper at the Snake Pit. Anyhow, I opt to down a large dose of caffeine with a protein shake before I head to the gym. This is ~ 19:00. Work out from 19:45 - 20:30, quick shower, and head back home.

I then pop in Code 46 It starts a little slow, but right away that was the least of my troubles. I am overwhelmed by the chills and shaking. I feel like I have puked, that hollow esophagus feeling, and I am really dizzy. Things continue to get worse, and I drive myself (7 blocks, thank you downtown) to the hospital.

I am so out of it at this point that I stumble into the Childrens hospital emergency center, blurry and doubling over shaking in pain. They take my vitals, I forget what my bp was, but my temperature was 102.6. They give me some tylenol and lead me over to the adult hospital. Then, I get to explain everything again.
At this point it's hitting midnight.

So, I make a makeshift bed (not nearly as in pain at this point) of their waiting couch and a wooden chair that seemed like it belonged outdoors. I wait for like 30 minutes before I'm taken to a bed to have my blood and urine tested and get hooked to an IV.

By now, I'm coherent enough to be able to flirt with the nurse. Heeelllooo, Nurse! Eventually (after my IV is long gone), my results come back.
1. I have some type of virus that's not influenza. Keep up with the rest and fluids.
2. My kidneys are not functioning at 100%. I'm supposed to stop taking all supplements and see a general care practitioner in a week or two. What's wrong with them, well, my creatinine levels are a bit high for someone my age (1.2 instead of ~0.7). Why is this important? Read here (in case you haven't read enough)

i had to go to the emergency room 2 months ago because of a kidney infection. i thought it was just the flu but it lasted for two weeks. I was bed ridden. So I started to get REALLY sick and got a friend to drive me to the hospital. Turns out it was the kidney.....that muther fuck! It was weird though....it totally just felt like an extremely long flu. I hope you are all better. Are you going bowling on the 5th?
