Why can't I go without injuring myself on Halloween? I fucked up my thumb two years ago, I took last year off
(from both Halloween and injuring myself), and this year I fucked up my neck. Oh, and my gf and I broke up, that sucks too.

It's a little of both, combined with the fact that the party was at his (our) house. Mostly his friends, some family and people from work. But he is definitely well known in this area. Very much the big fish in the small pond.
