Even before the turnovers, we seem to have misplaced our D.
Now, many of you know I grew up in Detroit. I still am fiercely loyal to the Wings and Pistons (baseball can shampoo my crotch). However, a couple of years ago I gave up on the Lions. I could no longer stick with a decision I made in elementary school. Here's why:
1. Decades of ineptitude. just horrible. it starts with the owner and works its way down.
2. They play on turf. The field turf is a little better, but I've played soccer on that stuff, and those little black rubber dealies that come up are really annoying. Plus, they used to play in ponti-crack at the Silverdome, which is one of the most disgusting buildings I've ever been in.
3. They have no cheerleaders. Thats right. none. They bring in HS cheerleaders from around the state. Not the same. Maybe if they brought in college ones, we might be ok.
So, after driving arguably the most exciting running back in NFL history into retirement, I realized it was about time to be done. Unfortunately, the team I've adopted didn't show up today either.
