Ahh, Sunday. I can never decide whether this is the first or the last day of the week. Whether or not we're talking about last week or this week (ending today), its been an interesting one.

I began to question my existence. Have you ever stepped away from an auto-flush toilet and have it not flush? My coworker called me insecure. I countered with, "How about we just go with 'out there.' That covers many more of my issues in a much less negative light."

I was turned down for the date I had planned... but it was the most enjoyably I've been turned down ever. I didn't realize she has a second job, and it conflicted with that, so we talked and laughed n such for another 10 mins.

I've been doing my "get everything under last years medical coverage." Went to the dentist. Went to the chiropracter. I probably won't have time to get the cyst looked at on my foot.

The aforementioned chiropracter was rather inquisitive. Make me feel comfortable, break the ice sort of stuff. I found out we are both from Michigan. She asked, "Would you ever move back?"
I countered with, "I don't like to say never, but it'd have to be something pretty significant for me to do so."
"So you'd need a pretty big raise?"
"Well, life's not all about money."
Bing. You could almost hear the light go off. "Oh, yea, for love, or if there was a job you really wanted to do."

Is there a preferred solstice welcoming? happy hannukah. merry chrstmas. happy new year. I've been going with, "A festive ChrismaSolstiHannuKwanzaa to you!" If I want to single out the solstice (even if it's clearly my least favorite solstice) how do I do so?

I haven't been commenting much recently. I think I've had too much bouncing around in my head. All of the above, plus a change in methodology at work. and then some. Maybe this brain dump will alleviate that.

So back to the too much in my head. sometimes writing it down helps. gives you perspective when you see it expressed as text.
I keep going round and round about what to do about my lack of transportation. My vw needs a transmission overhaul, which will probably cost at least half what the car would be worth. Plus there's some body damage, I think it's about ready to just have the towel thrown in. It lasted 10 hard years, many a road trip, including 2 burning mans. 3 windshields, 2 timing belts, 2 oil pans.
I keep looking for something new in two buckets.
1) The sporty but functional ride. Something with some space, and likely all wheel drive. S3 if they'll ever release it, another golf, maybe a WRX, or even an SL.
2) The overly functional ride.. as I'll be moving if not moving and fixing up a house. I think I've scrapped the pickup idea, more looking toward a wrangler or a liberty.
Right now my top choice is the wrangler. Know anyone with a wrangler that has < 50,000 miles, a 4L 6cyl engine, that wants to sell?

Well, although my existence may be questionable, that of my dirty laundry and kitchen are not. Every time I clean them they seem to become dirty right way. That's the American way.... our existence is proven and our stamp is made by the mess that we leave!

What we lack in health we make up for in filth.

I had your journal up last night but feel asleep. I've been down and out and totally didn't feel like being the salesperson, but you should check out the WRX wagon,
yes wagon. save $ and get one car instead of two

Can't beat function and fast ass fun.

New or used, (used are hard to come by, nobody wants to give them up and make sure they aren't modded!)

I really wanted to write a journal entry after reading yours. Seemed like a good idea, but I fell into slumber. I think my subconscience needed to work some stuff out. That or maybe it's an entry for the hidden depths of the laptop pages. Either way... you inspired me, thought I'd let you know.
